I am first and foremost a still photographer. However, sometimes a project—such as an artist's quest to paint the iconic fish (live and from life) of the North Atlantic, my daughter's idea to build a bouldering wall in our small garage, or the last guy on the east coast to fish for eels using a traditional stone weir—calls for the extra layers of sound and movement. Recent multimedia projects have also experimented with working fast and light in the field, embracing compact cameras and my iPhone for video along with other new, efficient technologies.
